Death Spiral in the Great Pacific Garbage Gyre

Its like an octopus or jellyfish got caught in the spin cycle of the ocean’s plastic waste, surrounded and drowning.

I build these sculptures with glue and wire from, basically, road kill: discarded, salvaged, scavenged jive like cracked compasses, limp lures, beached bones, frayed rope, test tubes, worn brushes, rusty chain, and crushed spectacles.
