Chjellydelier: Dover Street Market Los Angeles
This 2 meter by 6 meter chandelier was commissioned by Rei Kawakubo of Commes Des Garcon for her Dover Street Market opening in Los Angeles in 2017.

Impossible to photograph adequately, its moving parts are swinging from chains of eyeglasses, fishing lures, test tubes, sink stoppers, suction cups, airplane propellers, dog tags, and other cast aways.

Creatures get caught in the Pacific Garbage Gyre, stuck to the junk in the deep sea between continents. East meets West, and the paths of best intentions collide with bad ideas gone unpunished. Hanging in the Market between Chanel jewelry and Dior Handbags, the insignificant coincides with the fluke of consequence.
